Just as it is with the Invisalign treatment applied to adults, the trays used in the treatment of teeth crowding in children are hardly noticeable. Just like the grownups, our kids will be able to receive orthodontic treatment without having to wear braces...
Invisalign first is the first treatment. It enlarges the jaws, straightens the front teeth, makes room for some teeth, and thus, facilitates the second phase orthodontic treatment to be applied in the future. The first phase takes place between the ages of 6 and 10, and the second phase between the ages of 12 and 18. The period between the ages of 10 and 12 is generally a check-up and monitoring period. Because it is in this period when the milk teeth rapidly start to fall off and permanent teeth erupt.
With Invisalign first; crossbite, jaw narrowness, and cases where the upper jaw overlaps the lower jaw or the lower jaw overlaps the upper jaw can be treated.
It is appropriate to start the Invisalign first treatment when the permanent central and lateral incisors and first permanent molars of your child have erupted.
These trays are very easily cared for and can be cleaned under the running water with a toothbrush.
The transparent trays are changed every 10 or 15 days.
The trays are needed to be worn for 20 hours a day during the Invisalign First treatment. They need to be removed before eating.
Emergencies such as breaking or losing of trays do not frequently occur during the Invisalign first treatment. However, in such cases, what you need to do is to wear the previous trays until you visit your dentist.
