Dr. Dt. Cihan Çapan – Orthodontist & Dentgroup Board Member

Dr. Dt. Cihan Çapan, a member of the Dentgroup Board and an orthodontist, was born in Germany in 1975.
He graduated from Yeditepe University’s Orthodontics Department in 2005. In 2006, he opened his private clinic and co-founded Dentgroup Clinics, which, with its 25 branches, became the largest dental clinic chain in Turkey.

In addition to being an orthodontist, he has been the Head of Corporate Communication and Marketing at Dentgroup since 2006.

Since 2011, Dr. Dt. Çapan has been working exclusively in aligner treatments at the Dentgroup Bağdat Caddesi Clinic.
He co-founded DentLab, a digital dental prosthetics laboratory, in 2015 and DentSoft, a dental software company, in 2019.
In 2019, he also became a founding member and the first president of the Turkish Aligner Association.

Since 2019, he has been an Invisalign Clinical Speaker and has received the following awards:

Clear Aligner Treatment

Treatment began in September 2021 and was completed in December 2023. The treatment was carried out using Invisalign clear aligners.

The patient presented with a crossbite of the upper right lateral incisor. Both the upper and lower jaws showed significant constriction. The upper dental midline was shifted to the patient's right side. The lower right first molar had a poor prognosis and was considered unsuitable for preservation with root canal treatment; therefore, extraction was indicated. In addition, crowding, arch constriction, and rotational irregularities were present in the lower jaw.

The patient changed the Invisalign aligners every 10 days. No orthodontic elastics were used throughout the treatment. The clear aligner therapy positioned the teeth according to the treatment plan, corrected the crowding, and improved the dental arch form.

Following the aligner treatment, teeth whitening was performed to enhance smile aesthetics. Composite bonding and laser gum contouring were also carried out. The treatment resulted in a more balanced, functional, and aesthetic smile.

Clear Aligner Treatment

The treatment began in June 2020 and was completed in November 2021. The patient presented with severe crowding in both the upper and lower jaws. The patient's primary concern was dissatisfaction with the appearance of their smile.

Orthodontic treatment was carried out using Invisalign clear aligners. The patient wore the Invisalign aligners for an average of 20 hours per day and changed them every 10 days. Throughout the treatment, the teeth were moved into their planned positions according to the treatment protocol.

Following the Invisalign treatment, teeth whitening was performed. To further enhance smile aesthetics, laser gum contouring was also carried out. The treatment resulted in a more harmonious and aesthetic smile.
